Sakura - The Cherry Blossom Season

Pink cherry blossoms on iridescent pearl.

My love of all things Japan is no secret, and this piece is a tribute to that fascination. I used chunky tiles, cut to resemble petals caught in the twisting arms of a cherry tree. The background is composed of shimmering, opulent tiles designed to highlight the delicate pink blossoms, creating a sense of movement, light, and renewal, just like springtime in Japan.
